Key Requirements at a Glance

  • Security Bond: S$5,000 security bond required before your helper arrives in Singapore.
  • Medical Insurance: Minimum S$60,000 annual coverage for inpatient care and day surgery (enhanced requirement since July 2023).
  • Personal Accident Insurance: Minimum S$60,000 coverage for permanent disability or death due to accident.
  • Rest Days: At least 1 mandatory rest day per month that cannot be compensated away (since January 2023).
  • Employer Orientation Programme (EOP): First-time employers must complete the EOP before hiring a domestic helper.
