Helper Eligibility

  • Gender

    Must be female.

  • Age

    Between 23 and 50 years old at the time of application.

  • Source Country

    From approved countries including Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, India, and others.

  • Education

    Minimum 8 years of formal education with a recognized certificate.

  • First-time Helpers

    Must attend the Settling-in Programme (SIP) in Singapore.

Employer Eligibility

  • Age

    Must be 21 years old and above.

  • Financial Status

    Not be an undischarged bankrupt.

  • Mental Capacity

    Able to fully understand and discharge responsibilities as an employer.

  • Housing

    Provide adequate accommodation for the helper.

  • First-time Employers

    Must attend the Employer Orientation Programme (EOP).

Additional Requirements

  • Security Bond

    Employers must purchase a $5,000 security bond for each non-Malaysian helper.

  • Insurance Coverage

    Medical insurance (minimum $60,000 coverage) and personal accident insurance (minimum $60,000 coverage) are mandatory.

  • Living Arrangements

    Helpers must work at the employer's NRIC-registered address and be provided with adequate accommodation.

  • Medical Examinations

    Helpers must undergo a pre-employment medical examination and six-monthly medical checkups thereafter.
